Mariell Amelie is a young, talented and established photographer based in London. Born on a remote island in the North of Norway just outside the Arctic Circle, Amelie grew up surrounded by naturally created beautiful landscapes in a part of the world where the very extremities of weather are felt throughout the year.

This has helped Mariell Amelie develop a unique way to visualize and create her projects. Through using her surroundings, she crafts self-portraits rich in both imagery and emotion. Her Norwegian soul shines through in the richness of the extremities shown, between dark and light, new and old, and the balance between the surreal and the ordinary aspects of life.
