Secluded Storage Space Homes
This Manhattan Loft is Transformed into a Megacity Modern Abode

By: Emilie Picillo (Superstar) Sep 20, 13
{SummaryTitle}

Specht Harpman Architects transforms a tiny Manhattan loft of four-hundred and twenty-five square feet into a spacious modern home with minimalist decor. This loft is the future of apartments because after all, finding a spacious apartment for a decent price in a megacity like New York could be daunting.

Specht Harpman Architects creates space by knocking down a wall to open up the staircase. The designers revolutionize storage facilities with this staircase by implementing cabinets from bottom to top. In order to make these cabinets look discrete, the architects paint them white. This color allows them to harmonize with the rest of the apartment and coincide with architectural lines.

In addition, to make the apartment look more bright and spacious, the walls are white and simple lines are symmetrical and melodic to the eyes.
