The most notable aspect of the Line Up Table’s assembly is its curious rope-bound supports. The low coffee table has four rounded legs that angle out from beneath the center of the surface. These are wrapped in strings that feed through holes in the tabletop.
The eccentric item looks as though it might be configured to facilitate height adjustments, perhaps according do the tension of the neon-yellow cords. If this is a feature of the Line Up Table, it isn’t explained by designers Kosta Pamporis and Florian Schulz.
What is addressed, however, is the manufacturing of the object. All of the sawdust that comes from producing the timber supports of the coffee table is mixed into the concrete of the rectangular surface. This makes for a low-waste and lightweight piece of furniture.
