Lana Del Rey's ‘Born To Die' Music Video is Enchan

The music video for ‘Born To Die’ is a steaming hipster delight, whisking the viewer through a haze of hopelessness. Del Rey sits in a dreamy heiress isolation, crowned and guarded by tigers. Del Rey’s exaggerated puppy dog eyes and overly pouted lips croon with soul and drip with sad, wistful youth. She mourns a dusty, All-American affair and dips the viewer in the bittersweet violence of love.

‘Born To Die’ shows off Lana Del Rey’s new-wave Edie Sedgwick vibes. Her sultry retro style got her scooped up by producer, David Kahne, and tweeted by big names like Kanye West. This up-and-coming It Girl’s album will be released January 27th, 2012.
