Elegant Tribal Editorials
The 'L'Afrique, C'est Chic' Shoot Stars Katie Fogarty

By: Meghan Young (Superstar) Nov 6, 11

The tribal trend has managed to hold fast in the fashion industry, yet the ‘L’Afrique, C’est Chic’ magazine shoot shows that it has been sorely lacking a fresh take. Instead of embracing its wild, gritty side, this editorial focuses on how these vibrant patterns can be used to enhance the elegant, lady-like looks that Kate Middleton has brought back into the limelight.

Shot by fashion photographer Max Doyle, the L’Afrique, C’est Chic photo spread will be seen in Vogue Australia’s December 2011 issue. It stars the poised Katie Fogarty, whose statuesque frame was stunningly styled by fashion editor Naomi Smith. She pulled bold prints and sleek shapes from fashion houses such as Diane von Furstenberg, Emilio Pucci, Burberry Prorsum and Giorgio Armani.
