Arno’s latest campaign, the ‘Ugly Parents, Beautiful Kids’ ads, have two unattractive parents holding an adorable child. The tagline says “the perfect mix, no matter the ingredients.” This campaign was released in order to promote Arno’s new deluxe mixers.
Created by Brazilian advertising agency Publicis, the ads target young parents with its tongue-in-cheek premise. Though the ugly parents may offend some, Publicis has done a great job looking at what actually motivates consumers with children. The ad subtly plays on the fact that each parent thinks that their child is the best looking.
The campaign is also effective in raising brand awareness for Arno. As the ad is quite humorous and may shock some people, it has the potential to travel far by word of mouth and receive free publicity.
