The ‘Keep a Child Alive’ campaign has taken the form of a rather ironic means of raising awareness. As a strategy to raise funds and familiarity surrounding the pressing HIV/AIDS issues in India and Africa, this charitable tactic virtually kills off celebrities.
Personally I think this new visual collection of celebrity ‘Keep a Child Alive’ faux remembrance headshots makes the campaign that much more poignant. Lady Gaga, Jennifer Hudson, Justin Timberlake and David Chapelle are dead after committing social media suicide beginning December 1st 2010, leaving Twitter updates un-tweeted and Facebook statuses un-posted. Once $1,000,000 in donations is reached, these stars will have their lives back and will return to their computers.
