City-Mapped Flat Sinks
Julia Kononenko Designed a Flat Sink Patterned with the London Map

{SummaryTitle}

Julia Kononenko’s flat sink is a work of art for more than its design component. Primarily, the sink is designed in a way that although it looks as though the water should be splashing on the floor once the sink is tuned on, it is in fact made to flow back to a hidden drain.

Another amazing feature of the design is the thought behind the Water Map that Kononenko has created on the sink. The Water Map is modeled after the streets of central London, one of the main origins of the 19th-century industrial revolution.

Flat sinks are already a mind-blowing design entirely on their own. Integrating this with the pattern with the cityscape of a culturally relevant city is the work of an artist.
