{SummaryTitle}

Artist Jonas Etter has taken Salvador Dali’s famous melting motif to the next level. Melted sugar is used to make syrupy portrayals of surrealist proportions.

More specifically, the Swiss artist uses viscid burnt sugar that is melted due to air moisture as one of his mediums. The result being art with movement that liquefies before your eyes. Variations of these pieces are include typographic sculptures and framed wall pieces.

The Zurich-based creator states that in order to achieve the slowly melting effect, the creations must be placed on the wall immediately before the opening reception. This causes the content slowly flow out rendering viscous puddles with a surreal effect.

It’s obvious that Etter’s pieces are absolutely oozing with the dulcet creative energy of a talented artist.
