It’s been a long time since I’ve encountered an artist who can illustrate Greek goddess-like images the way Jill Sanders does. The perfect execution in rendering female faces and anatomy, beautiful flowing gowns and stained-glass backgrounds is something not seen too frequently nowadays in commercial art. Additionally, the perfect use of vibrant colors makes for certified crowd-pleasing artwork.
Jill Sanders is a South Carolina-based illustrator who is equally adept at creating analog art as she is digital art. She describes herself as “specializing in decorative art”, which is probably why her illustrations have graced the surfaces of books, music posters, food packaging and even motorcycle apparel. Who knew that leather-clad boys had such an affinity for images of angelic and empowered women?
Fans of Jill Sanders’ work will be happy to know that she sells prints of her images on her Society6 account.
