Consisting of an infrared sensor inside columns with LED lights, this light installation by artist Ivan Toth Depeña senses the moving presence of commuters in order to produce an abstract image.
This public art located throughout the MetroRail of the Stephen Clark Government Center Lobby, Miami, United States, gives people the opportunity to discover themselves in a more playful and unique way. The color-blocked, pixelated image is a real-time reflection of commuters and an attractive concept to incorporate art in public spaces.
The installation by Ivan Toth Depeña shows the artistic and technological face of society together at the same time.
