We got to know Topher Grace’s face after his years with the popular Fox sitcom, That 70s Show (which eventually led to big screen appearances). Now, Topher Grace needs your face in a film he’s starring in. Well, a film his voice is starring in.
Let us explain.
It starts with the concept of “social film,” a type of interactive film presented through the lens of social media. Intel and Toshiba did it once before (their first social film, “Inside,” was a dark thriller starring Emmy Rossum, where audiences could interact with the main character in real time), and now they’re at it again. This time, it’s a romantic, coming-of-age story called ‘The Beauty Inside.’ This time, it’s Hollywood’s first social film where anyone in the audience can play Alex, the lead role.
In the film, Topher Grace plays Alex, a fairly normal twenty-something with one striking abnormality: he wakes up in a different body every day. Same guy on the inside, but he may be an old man on Monday and a teenage girl on Friday. Every day, he records a webcam diary—via his Toshiba Ultrabook laptop, powered by Intel—to keep track of all the people he’s been.
One of those people could be you. Or, a neighbor, friend, family member, or someone currently living in Sweden, Swaziland, or Siberia. It may even be all of the above.
Worldwide auditions for this leading role are currently open via the film’s Facebook page where six filmed episodes will play out starting Thursday August 16, 2012, and continuing each Thursday through September 20, 2012. Head to the page now to read the latest, tune in for the weekly episodes and make sure to audition for the role of your life!
