Submerged Spaceship Art
Owen Silverwood's Inner Space Installation Simulates a Takeoff

By: Meghan Young (Superstar) Jun 14, 11
{SummaryTitle}

The Inner Space art installation mimics the takeoff of a spaceship and rocket ship in a surreal manner. In fact, it revolves around a miniature scale model that has been submerged in water, so as to create the illusion that it is actually taking off into the skies. I especially love the smoke detail within this series.

Conceived and created by photographer Owen Silverwood, the Inner Space art installation is truly unlike anything I have ever come across. Simple yet stunning, the series is guaranteed to catch the gaze of passersby.

Unfortunately, there isn’t much information about the inspiration behind the Inner Space art installation, so I can only assume it came into fruition because Silverwood has an appreciation for rockets and spaceships.
