Google has been steadily updating their new search results ranking algorithms, but some sites are still ignoring the importance of SEO or Search Engine Optimization.
The new algorithm, Google Panda, serves to weed out and lower the rankings of sites that are or seem to be robot-run as well as the ones that used to—or still are—spamming the page’s content with SEO terms. The importance of SEO not only boosts the rankings on Google search but can significantly double and even triple the site’s traffic. According to the infographic, more than one million sites are still ignoring this either neglecting to include essential elements on their page such as primary and secondary titles as well as meta descriptions, which can lead Google to believe the site is not legitimate.
