While many designers are trying to instigate a healthier lifestyle by creating furniture that breaks a sweat, ‘Ikea Robotics’ is the complete opposite. Instead, the collection encourages lazier living by being at your beck and call via a clever technological tweak.
Conceived by NYU ITP student Adam Lassy, ‘Ikea Robotics’ is interesting and beneficial nevertheless. According to Lassy, “I’m very interested in this idea of networked objects, things in your home that use an internet connection in new ways rather than a laptop as a person’s sole interface.”
