Super-Spacious Tokyo Toilets
Ichihara City Toilet is the Largest in the World

{SummaryTitle}

Japan is well-known for its quirky toilets; there are the bum-washing (via water-spray or air-spray), seat-warming, deodorizing—now, there is a new addition to that list in the Ichihara City toilet.

This latrine is deemed to be the world’s largest, not because of its grandeur in size, but rather, how much space it occupies. It is actually standard-sized, but is situated in the middle of 200 square meters of open land within a glass box. Do not worry—there is a 2 meter high fence encircling the area—how much more private could you get? This impressive toilet costs a whopping $125,000 to make and is designed by famous designer Sou Fujimoto of the Taiwan Tower. Unfortunately it is only open to ladies right now (sorry guys!).

Hoping to boost the tourism near Tokyo, which is where Ichihara City is located, the toilet is truly a one-hit washroom wonder.
