When I first set eyes on the Hylozoic Ground installation, my breath was instantly taken away. I can only imagine what it would be like to see it in person. As though straight out of a fantasy/sci-fi novel, it’s eerie presence holds a wondering beauty.
Created by Philip Beesley, the Hylozoic Ground is an award-winning installation that will represent Canada at the Venice Biennale of Architecture later this year. Reacting to movement created by onlookers, the Hylozoic Ground suggests an “empathic relationship between architecture and people,” observes Core77.
