Skateboard culture has always had a close relationship to contemporary art as is evidenced by the HUF Haroshi deck, a collaboration between skate board brand HUF and Japanese artist Haroshi.

The deck design features a fire hydrant, the personal icon of Keith Hufnagel, set in the center of a plain wooden background. The colorful fire hydrant image looks like it was made from thousands of Smarties in a mosaic-like aesthetic. The HUF Haroshi deck is a much cheaper and functional alternative to the real life sculptures of Haroshi.

The HUF online store is currently selling the HUF Haroshi deck, but it must be popular because right now they are sold out. Check back again soon to see if you can get your hands on one.
