Hostess is closing down; the beloved company that brought the world one of the most craved snacks ever created is closing its doors for good.

From robotic snack cakes to economy-inspired snack food, Hostess often thought of new ways to improve its traditional Twinkie and market it to new consumers. This inspired consumers to create a series of mind-boggling recipes with the snack.

There are Southern comfort restaurants that deep fry burgers with Twinkies attached to them and snack food stadiums which use Twinkies to hold together a massive food platter of assorted goods to resemble a NFL field. Twinkies have been a large fixture for school time lunches and it is sad to see them go.
