Conceptualized to be a modernized piazza, the HIT Gallery Hong Kong excites with a novel retail concept.
At first glance, the most striking feature of this store is its zig-zag patterned floors that distort perspective. The black and white stripes create an optical illusion that hypnotizes, making customers feel as though they’ve fallen down the rabbit hole into fashion fantasy. A nod to painter Giorgio De Chirico, each exuberant detail is highly surrealist.
The concept store aims to “capture the essence and spirit of Italy in wonderful new ways,” says designer of the HIT Gallery Hong Kong Fabio Novembre. This approach points to a new era of retail that centers on concept spaces that embody a firm’s branding initiative.
