High Rising Low Rider Cars
The Donk

By: Marissa Brassfield (Superstar) Aug 22, 08
{SummaryTitle}

A donk is the unfortunate combination of ‘70s automobiles and the “Pimp My Ride” low-rider culture of the ‘90s and ‘00s. They’re typically made from mid-‘70s automobiles, especially the Chevrolet Caprice or Monte Carlo. They’ll always have giant chrome rims and the trademark sloping tail that defines a donk. This sloping tail is achieved either through smaller rims on the rear end or through hydraulic lift kits.

A donk is typically modified heavily to include just about any component the driver desires—Lamborghini doors, custom audio systems, big block engines, or custom interior details. To most of the world, a donk is a vehicular abomination, but for a fervent few, these custom whips are to die for.
