Everyday Object Sculptures
Herve Graumann Turns Daily Items into Masterpieces

By: Kevin Young (Star) Apr 21, 12

From afar, these neatly aligned art installations looks like a digital psychedelic rendition from Photoshop, but instead, Swiss sculptor Herve Graumann used everyday items to create this cluster of beauty.

Graumann is also a digital media artist, which can explain the digital art effects that illuminates these sculptures. He uses burnt matches, plastic cups, candles, toy horses and police cars as his choice of objects. With a bunch of these items precisely lined up and in a specific pattern, the sculptures form an array of eye-illusory effects.

Usually these objects are used for entertainment purposes, or for functionality. Not many users interpret these objects as pieces of art, but Graumann has managed to think outside of the box with his latest designs.
