Greentomatocars, an eco-friendly taxi service in London, has launched a private hire service in the UK to take cab ride bookings via Twitter. To score a ride from Greentomatocars, you send a direct message to @greentomatocars with your location and booking details. Once you receive a reply from Greentomatocars, you just have to wait for a Prius to come pick you up.

What an innovation. I mean, if I had a penny for every time I needed a taxi but didn’t have their number or the arm dexterity to flag one down… well, I’d have at least five pennies.
