Giuseppe Lo Schiavo’s artwork is of a pleasantly surreal collection of world landmark photos edited to look like their own floating worlds.
He has used monuments such as the Taj Mahal in Agra, India, the Eiffel Tower in Paris and the Collosseum in Rome. He places them on top of giant rocks as if they have been pulled out of the ground by force and are left floating in the air on top of an ocean.
“I use photography to materialize my visions and not for interpreting the reality” said the artist, referring to his art form as an actualization of his acute imagination. “I have seen an entire city in a window, a mountain in a pebble; I even saw colors in a black & white picture.”
