I love the simplicity and humor in these amazing photographs created by French surrealist artist Gilbert Garcin. There is an almost unsettling Hitchcock feeling to his iconic work.

Gilbert Garcin was born in 1929. He spent most of his life managing a lamp factory in France. At 65, he retired and discovered a passion for photography. His photo art is a wonderful, comical, surrealist world, which makes you ponder on existential questions.

Gilbert Garcin has been widely exhibited in recent years and definitely deserves a mention here, as his techniques, quirkiness and humor obviously will influence many through time.
