The Gas Lamp is an ironic twist of modern lighting fixtures as it’s designed to look like a propane tank and a match.
This quirky design, created by La Firme, takes a lighter approach to modern-day lamps. The iconic propane tank is cut in half and used as the lamp’s shade and connected to it is the switch that takes form of a giant match. It’s a combination for an explosion but rest assured, it’s just a cute and fun design that won’t involve anything like the scenes from Rambo.
The idea of the Gas Lamp is for people to take an in-depth look at the evolution of lighting sources from candles to flashlights to chic contemporary lamps.
