Too often, waiting rooms are forgotten areas that stink of the disinterest of commercial designers. The G Clinic 7F commission is quite different, with its creators having gone above and beyond expectations to deliver something of the caliber of a chic urban cafe.
This is a clinical practice that specializes in men’s treatments for hair removal and hair restoration. The appointments and procedures that occur here aren’t as compromising as those that take place in other medical offices, yet the subject causes many clients embarrassment.
The programmatic solution put forth by Arimoto Yushiro and KORI Architecture integrated a system of modern perforated room dividers. They seemingly shrink the size of the waiting space to improve mental comfort. Tokyo’s G Clinic 7F sets up few scenarios in which patients may accidentally make eye contact.
