Tension-Suspended Lights
OK Lamp is a Radiant Round Face That's Anchored Between Floor and Ceiling

By: Amelia Roblin (Superstar) Apr 17, 13
{SummaryTitle}

There are pendant lamps, floor lamps and table lamps, yet there is still another sort. The Flos OK Lamp is suspended somewhere between the first and the second, installed in the ceiling and weighted to the ground. The fixture itself clings the the vertically spanning cable.

Designer Konstantin Grcic updated the 1971 model of the Parentesi Lamp by Achille Castiglioni. It functions by the same principle of a clamping component that can be slipped up and down a taut wire and secured at the preferred height. This version, however, completely reimagines the light fixture. Instead of featuring a spotlight-style of bulb, the Flos OK Lamp relies on a disk-shaped surface of LEDs that can be pivoted 360 degrees for added flexibility.
