Expedia Vacations just released a new set of print ads to entice consumers to book that winter getaway this season.
The top of the year is prime time when it comes to travel season. With the cold weather in full swing in the northern hemisphere, the hustle of the holiday season in our rearview mirrors and tax returns starting to give us a little extra flow, warm winter getaways are on the rise in January. This is why it makes sense Expedia Vacations would release a new ad campaign now.
This series of print ads plays on the airport codes displayed on luggage tags when you travel. Every time you check baggage, the airline gives you a tag that includes a three digit letter code which represents the airport you’re flying to. Expedia has manipulated these codes to read like messages. For instance, “BON” “VOI” and “AGE.”
