Eun-Ha Paek’s fortune cards are a fantastic blend of charming animation and typical fortune cookie guidance. The cards were made for the artist’s booth at Rhode Show at the ICON conference.

The drawings recall the imaginative illustrations from children’s books, combining nostalgic animation with predictions of the future. Through humor and fantasy, the pictures encourage a lighthearted and uplifting approach in regards to the days ahead.

Some of the cards contain a slight dab of the comically sinister. Anyone should be happy to receive a fortune saying “a secret admirer will soon send a sign of affection,” unless of course you happen to be a bone and the admirer at hand is a drooling puppy.
