{SummaryTitle}

Eric Moger suffered from a large tumor on the left side of his face. After it was removed, a hole was left exposed, prompting doctors to assemble a digital blueprint that was eventually turned into a printed prosthetic.

This 3D model was produced by way of current printing technologies. Although 3D printing is still in its beginning stages, the medical team hopes to see similar endeavors come along that will improve the lives of patients while also releasing relatively cheap solutions.

Overseeing this procedure was Dr. Andrew Dawood, an implant expert. Dawood hopes to further the case of Moger with printed silicone, an idea that while not yet developed, could begin to soon take shape.
