The world is said to end on Friday the 21st of December 2012, and this end of the world Google search chart explores Or get invaded by Aliens, suffer a Nuclear Meltdown or get smacked by a solar flare/asteroid. If you’ve Googled “Mayans 2012” or “December 2012” you will have been bombarded by millions of sites explaining how and why doomsday is approaching.

Online marketers have caught on and a lot of Apocalyptic sites that peddle survival gear, advice or services now dominate the first few pages of Google. Social Media Ltd. decided to do a little research into keyword volume and the impact that these websites and blogs are having around the world, resulting in this slightly alarming infographic.
