Whether you’re walking or driving, streets are for streamlined movement, so this urban installation project called ‘Elevated Bench’ by Itay Ohaly separates speed and stillness.
Giving tired foot travelers a private place to repose, these quirky city sculptures comprise custom-built spiral staircases that climb up traffic lights and lamp posts in Belgium. By finding chairs atop sets of steps and against brick buildings, pedestrians gain invaluable new perspectives and views from special seating arrangements thanks to ‘Elevated Bench’ by Itay Ohaly.
