To shred a piece of artwork would be like blasphemy in the art world, but the art installation titled El Al by Naama Arad, an artist based in Tel Aviv, Israel, is solely comprised of shredded paper. Nevertheless, the images shown throughout the exhibit are still recognizable. The shredded aesthetic simply breaks down each image in order to offer a different perspective.
From architectural arcs to scenes of nature, the art installation titled El Al by Naama Arad ranges is subject matter. Nevertheless, they have all been printed in black and white, which accentuates the subtle abstract aesthetic perpetuated by the shredded motif.
El Al by Naama Arad is currently showing at The Midrasha Gallery of Art.
