Tumorous Fish Tanks
The Echappee Aquarium Provides a Glass Growth as Additional Swimming Space

By: Amelia Roblin (Superstar) Sep 26, 13
{SummaryTitle}

There are three fairly standard shapes in which fish tanks typically come, and the Echappée Aquarium conforms to none of them. The base of the vessel is a very shallow version of the common rectangular one, yet its most eye-catching feature is the bizarre and rather large outgrowth that emerges from one side.

Sébastien Cordoleani’s surrealist design is centered around the brain-shaped bubble that would be made of blown glass to shape an odd, bumpy surface. This would sit lightly inside the tank and be filled with fluid to a much higher level than the pool below. Made possible by a pipe and an air pressure adjustment, the elevated watery world of the Echappée Aquarium would stimulate your scaly friends and spellbind your human ones.
