Hannah Hart's 'My Drunk Kitchen' is Part YouTube Channel Part Party

By: Marie C. Hudson (Star) Jun 1, 11
{SummaryTitle}

Hannah Hart, aka ‘MyHarto’ has taken to YouTube with her cooking show, quite appropriately called ‘My Drunk Kitchen.’ The quirky twenty-something premiered her first five-minute clip in March and has seen much YouTube fame since. MyHarto’s appeal lies in her very likeable and relatable personality and she seems to have tapped in to a previously unexplored, yet extremely popular market—drunk cooking. With over 500,000 views, MyHarto’s sixth episode, “Brunch?”, is the most popular, but the others remain deserving of much attention as well, as she gives important life advice while, for example, cooking Kraft Mac & Cheese while overseas in London.

What sets Hart’s My Drunk Kitchen apart from other YouTube hopefuls is how genuine her videos seem to be. Yes, there is a set-up and a lot of editing involved, but Hart is actually getting quite intoxicated as she stumbles her way through drunk cooking. With witty episode titles such as, “Omelette You Finish” and “Not Easy, Bake Oven,” Hart proves to be more than just another heavily edited, unoriginal filmmaker. So sit back with a mimosa (or two… or five) and check out My Drunk Kitchen.
