Molecular Model Lights
The Dodeck Lamp Beams Beyond a Crystal Made from Eco-Friendly Material

By: Amelia Roblin (Superstar) Jan 18, 13

Beyond the installation of a simple lightbulb, a brilliant way to really provide visual stimulation in a room is to integrate a Dodeck Lamp into its decor. The eccentric light fixture comprises a bare globe at its core, hanging from an electrical cord and embraced by a curiously complex structure.

This geometric lattice is made up of little Y-shaped pieces of recycled cardboard, manufactured in a variety of vivid colors. They are simply slotted together to produce utterly intriguing forms that make up the LX and the M models of the pendant lamp that are sold through the Merge Shop.

Beholding the Dodeck Lamp alone is certainly a captivating sight, but the effect it has on the room is perhaps even more fascinating. Ineffective as a proper lampshade, the intricate sculpture casts incredible shadows on the ceiling, the walls and the floor.
