D.I.Y. Music Holsters
Make a Classic Muji Inspired CD Player for Less

By: Marissa Liu (Rockstar) Sep 2, 09

CDs might be a fast-aging relic of the music industry, but like cassette tapes and vinyl before them, they are quickly becoming a quirky retro badge of honour. So, impress your friends and family by creating your own Muji inspired CD player. This do-it-yourself project requires an old CD-player, a pair of portable speakers, a pull cord light switch, some wires and epoxy glue.

Naoto Fukasawa designed this iconic wall-mounted CD player for Muji in 1999 and now, a decade later, you can make your very own for less than the $178 retail cost.
