The Dilia Oviedo 'A Religious Experience' Series Plays with Faith

The Dilia Oviedo ‘A Religious Experience’ series is a captivatingly beautiful photo shoot that tampers with tradition and faith using seductive imagery. The 25-year-old Dominican native now lives in Barcelona and is inspired by her surroundings, be they people, nature, movies or paintings. The story features the models Lauren Auerbach and Ann Müürsepp with brilliant and controversial styling by Ana Sting.

Oviedo says of the shoot, “I wanted to play around with the idea of possession, good vs evil, dark vs Light, etc.. A lot of the inspiration came from old ghost stories and movies, and in terms of the composition and light, the inspiration came from old Renaissance paintings.”
