'Decline of the American Entrepreneur' Infographic Examines Change

By: Jennifer Gosnell (Rockstar) Dec 24, 12
{SummaryTitle}

The ‘Decline of the American Entrepreneur’ infographic examines an overall change in business culture in the United States of America. For the past 30 years this decline has resulted in a steady multi-million job fall in the American economy.

Employees working for start-up businesses now account for eight percent of American jobs versus the twelve percent they represented in 1980. Whether this decline is a result of industry-specific circumstances or a direct political policy issue that has been undertaken by the various governmental administrations that have been in power since 1977, is debatable.

For instance, in some areas technology has made certain jobs irrelevant or moot. The technological development, however, has added jobs in other areas. What is for sure, however, is that the ‘Decline of the American Entrepreneur’ has most definitely been a noticeable slide in the United States.
