In the world of smartphone and tablet apps, crowd-sourced apps are becoming more popular when it comes to communal music digestion. Music apps in general are picking up in popularity now that people seem to be more concerned with having some music on in the moment than owning it outright. What’s the big concern over owning a massive music library when you can log onto your favorite app and control the mood with a pre-set playlist or make recommendations to your favorite bar using crowd-sourced apps?

There are also music apps that allow you to create original music, so this isn’t all about consuming commercial music. Similar to Guitar Hero, there are also musical games that feel like you’re playing a game, but sound like you’re playing an instrument.
