Cutting-Edge Corrugated Homes
This Compact Urban Home is Inspiring and Efficient

By: Tia Clarke (Star) Jan 12, 13

This cutting edge home is made from surprisingly traditional and readily available materials.

Created by Japanese architecture firm Shuhei Endo, the steel Rooftecture OT2 is made from corrugated steel.

Located in the densely populated Osaka; the dwelling is suitably spacious and inviting on the inside for the couple and their three children who live there. The beautiful interior is saturated with natural light, is full of skylights and has walls covered in orientated strand boards with panels of cedar and hardwood flooring.

The house, which is only open to the north on a busy street, comes alive at night with the glow of street-lights flooding in and creating magical patterns through the corrugated steel shell.
