Bill Clinton’s Columbia College Graduation keynote offers the recent grads in the audience the inspiration to apply their accomplishments to doing something that makes them truly happy.

While all Americans have the right to pursue happiness, it is also their responsibility to push themselves to try new things and create the type of life they want for themselves. Despite the country’s recent economic woes, its citizens are still so much more fortunate than billions of people around the world today. Bill Clinton argues that the youth of today must take advantage of all the opportunities they are presented with and be willing to try new things, even if it results in failure.

University and college graduates are afforded the luxury to try so many different things in different fields. It is their responsibility to take make the most of this privilege and create a life suitable to their dreams and goals.
