Hand-Sculpted Porcelain Jellyfish from Coe and Waito

These exquisite porcelain jellyfish are by Coe and Waito and are made of hand-sculpted ceramic. This particular installation consists of 25-30 porcelain jellyfish and has been shown throughout Toronto at ‘Come Up to My Room,’ ‘Magic Pony’ and, most recently, ‘Board of Directors’ (Catherine Mulherin Contemporary Art Projects).
The contrast of using brittle, opaque porcelain to create fluid, transparent jellyfish forms is a curious but beautiful one.
