These Christmas flower stats help to get down to the nitty gritty regarding festive floral arrangements.
As you might have guessed, the poinsettia takes the winning position for the most popular flower of the season with centerpieces coming in at second and general Christmas flowers coming in third. Regarding poinsettias, the most popular color is, of course, red with 8% of other buyers choosing white and a mere 6% going with pink.
When it comes to who’s purchasing flowers, 34% of buyers are getting them for themselves, 32% for parents, 29% are getting them for a significant other and 26% are buying for friends or neighbors. A staggering 50 million poinsettias are sold each year during the holiday season, which makes it no surprise that it is truly Christmas’s favorite flower.
