Sharply Mountainous Structures
The Chongqing Greenland Clubhouse by PURE Design is Nature-Inspired

By: Meghan Young (Superstar) Mar 29, 13
{SummaryTitle}

Mimicking the mountains in its surroundings, the Chongqing Greenland Clubhouse features sharp peaks that are nevertheless more contemporary than organic. In fact, it is located halfway up the south side of the mountain in Hong’en Temple Forest Park facing the Jialing River. The strikingly angled portions of the roof levels out below to create a strong base from which to jut out of.

Created by PURE Design, the Chongqing Greenland Clubhouse provides a dialogue between the mountain and the river. For instance, the heavy gray colour of the external zinc cladding speaks to the former while the surface facing the latter is tranquil and lithe like a crystal case.

The Chongqing Greenland Clubhouse is home to a real estate exhibition space, sales rooms, infinity pool and more.
