The Chinese Checkered Bookshelf Features Movable Chess Pieces

If you appreciate strategy games of all types and forms, then you’ll probably fall in love with the Chinese Checkered Bookshelf. Although not actually playable, it uses pieces from the Chinese chess game in order to stay together.

Designed by Kittichai Reawsanguanwong, the Chinese Checkered Bookshelf feature magnet joints with accompanying Chinese chess pieces that can be rearranged for fun and a welcomed change. It was displayed during the ‘Imprints: Designing for Memories’ exhibition at the National Museum of Singapore.
