Twisted Childhood Book Covers
Brian Cronin's Childhood Books Feature Iconic Comic Characters

By: Laura McQuarrie (Superstar) Jun 5, 13

Blogger Brian Cronin’s illustrated series adds a dark twist to beloved childhood books. Cronin asked his readers to submit titles for “rejected children’s books starring comic characters,” and had a team of artists draw these new book covers. Although you may appreciate some of these remixed childhood books now, you’ll be glad you didn’t read these stories as a child.

One of the most terrifying titles, ‘Fun With Dick And Jane Vs Aliens,’ depicts the children running away from the extraterrestrial creature from the ‘Alien’ movies. If that isn’t enough to upset your memories of being read a bedtime story, the user-submitted title for the Dr. Seuss’ classic ‘Cat in the Hat’ is quite suggestive, but thankfully the re-imagined book cover is very tame in comparison.
