Men in large, green, kilt-like shorts, and tiny, tweed lederhosen ones, walked down the runway of Madrid Fashion Week presenting this new collection from the Carlos Díez Fall/Winter 2012 line. The label focuses on green tweed fabrics made into a variety of casual wear that references traditional garments of Austrian and Celtic origin. Mustard yellow, floral-patterned suit separates and some hip geometric pieces were also thrown into the mix.
Fine knits done in a combination of green, white and black threads are showcased with matching leg warmers, while draping garments with long silhouettes give this unusual line of postmodern apparel a contemporary twist. So if you’re looking for a Bruno-esque outfit to wear to next year’s Oktoberfest, then the Carlos Díez Fall/Winter 2012 collection has the piece for you.
