Premium coffee company Cafe Brasileiro looked to the creative minds at the design firm NTGJ to give the product a modern Brazilian look without resorting to the tired and stereotypical green and yellow colors. The creative team at NTGJ turned to Brazilian icons for inspiration and created a minimalist and surprisingly monochrome package that still manages to be infectiously eye-catching.
Gathering aesthetic cues from the natural Brazilian wonder Pão de Açucar (Sugarloaf Mountain) and the mind-bending sidewalk graphics of the Calçadão de Copacabana pattern found in Rio de Janeiro, NTGJ created a stunning design. The result is a surreal creation reminiscent of the black and white optical illusion artwork that 1960s mods went nuts over. The resurgence of this somewhat retro style is a welcome reference that fits neatly with the fashion world’s rediscovery of the 1960s.
Iconic and simple, yet highly engaging, the Cafe Brasileiro packaging is extremely visually stimulating.
